The FBI on Saturday arrested Larry Mitchell Hopkins, a member of the United Constitutional Patriots, which recently posted a video of private citizens detaining migrants, catching the attention of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

Hopkins, along with the other members of the group, were reportedly carrying firearms and ammunition for the purposes of using force against migrants at the US border.

The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has forbid private citizens from assisting in its task of maintaining the country’s border. They suggest that citizens can call their local officials when observing any suspicious activity. This arrest represents a governmental attempt to maintain order in an increasingly precarious situation.
