Spanish authorities arrest 12 more Madrid train bombing suspects

[JURIST] TSpain's Interior Ministry [official website in Spanish] announced Friday that 12 more people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the preparations of the March 11, 2004 Madrid train bombings [JURIST news archive] that killed 191 people and wounded over 1500 others. Four of the suspects are Moroccan nationals, and brothers of the al-Qaida figure who claimed responsibility for the attacks, Youssef Belhadj. Belhadj was extradited from Belgium to Spain on Friday. Supreme Court said busing could be used to achieve racial integration

On April 20, 1971, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously in Swann v. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education that busing of school students could be ordered to achieve racial desegregation.

League of Nations dissolved

On April 20, 1946, the League of Nations was officially dissolved with the close of its final session. Thirty-four countries had attended the final meeting at which they elected to dismantle the organization and bequeath its assets to the United Nations.
