Watergate trial began

On October 4, 1974, the trial of Watergate conspirators HR Haldeman, John Erlichman, John Mitchell, Robert Mardian, and Kenneth Parkinson began, with Judge John Sirica presiding. Review transcripts of the Watergate tapes played at the outset of their trial.
