UPDATE ~ Iranian council backtracks on allowing women to run for presidency Alexandria Samuel at 2:39 PM ET [JURIST] Updating a report from earlier today in JURIST's Paper Chase, the official IRNA news agency [media website; English version] is reporting that Gholamhossein Elham, a spokesperson for Iran's Guardian Council, has rejected reports that quoted him saying women could run for president.
