The Florida Recount

In the wake of the disputed US presidential election in November 2000, JURIST gathered documents, kept updated timelines and provided insightful commentary on the rapidly-evolving situation. The effort, headed by Tony Sutin, then the Dean of Appalachian School of Law, is reproduced here as it existed at the time of its last update on December 14, 2000.

Tragically, Dean Sutin was killed in a shooting spree at the Appalachian School of Law in 2002. His widow, Margaret Lawton, very kindly consented to JURIST naming our top student award after him.
